To apply for the Observership Program, you must submit a completed Application form, supporting documentation, and a $125.00 non-refundable Application Processing Fee. Tuition fees cover all educational, clinical and administrative expenses required to implement the Observership Program. The program includes assignment to a Physician for a period of four (4) weeks, assignment to a US Observership representative, participation in lectures, and HIPPA and Bloodborne Pathogens Certifications. The Program can be renewed up to three (3) time for a total of twelve (12) weeks.
What is an Observership?
An "Observership” is defined as the position of observing patient care in a health care setting, without patient contact, for the specific purpose of gaining medical knowledge. It is a vital part of gaining exposure to the US medical system and will increase the quality of one's application package for residency.
What Certifications will I need?
You will be required to obtain HIPAA and Bloodborne Pathogens Certifications.
Participants in US Observerships' Programs are required to attend a 2-day orientation, where they will earn the above certifications.
